Wayne Zink

 

It’s time for good people to do good things in assertive ways


Wayne is a Philanthropist, Entrepreneur and Producer. He believes it is time for good people to do good things in assertive ways. 

Founder of My Sister, mysister.org, a Minnesota Special Benefit Corporation dedicated to raising funds to fight sex trafficking. My Sister’s mission is to prevent sex trafficking, educate communities, empower the population, provide after-care for survivors and offer growth opportunities to at-risk women through the sale of statement making, ethically -sourced apparel and accessories. Zink recently sold mysister.org to The Outrage based in Washington DC.

He is the Founder of Endangered Species Chocolate, and the Endangered Species Chocolate Foundation, the number one selling brand of chocolate in the natural organic category, providing annual grants to non profit organizations supporting habitat, humanity and species. He is the Founder/creator of ZIRH Skin Nutrition, men’s skincare launched in Barney’s New York and sold into Saks and Neiman Marcus. ZIRH sold to Shiseido. He is the co-founder along with Francine Hardaway of Hardaway Connections, a large issues-based PR firm based in the Southwest. He has served over 20 years as the director of communications for Hoosier Refreshment, a Pepsi Cola bottling company.  

Wayne is a producer of regional and Broadway Theater.  An investor and co-producer, Zink’s Broadway credits include: Waitress, Hadestown, Ain’t Too Proud, Torch Song Trilogy and The Cher show. Other Broadway credits include, 1984, The Play That Goes Wrong, The Front Page, Hello Dolly!, Escape to Margarita Ville. Off Broadway credits include Curvy Widow, Me The People, Folk Wandering.

Regionally Zink has produced (Guthrie Theater) My Fair Lady, Pericles, The Parchman Hour, Georgia McBride, (Minnesota Opera) The Magic Flute, The Shinning and Fellow Travelers, (Mill City Opera) Sweeney Todd, (Dark and Stormy Productions) The Norwegians, (7th House Theater) The Great Work, The Passage or What comes of Searching in the Dark, Rhinoceros.  

Zink is a member of the Project Success Board of Directors and sits on the board of The Guthrie Theater. He and his husband Christopher Schout are active philanthropists.
